What is EC technology?
EC motors are synchronous permanent magnet motors controlled by intelligent electronics. Unlike traditional AC asynchronous motors, current switching is managed electronically by an integrated microcontroller, eliminating efficiency losses due to slip and ensuring maximum efficiency across the entire speed range.
Thanks to this design, ECOFIT EC motors achieve better efficiency, resulting in energy savings compared to conventional AC solutions.
How the ECOFIT EC motor works
ECOFIT EC motors combine performance and intelligence:
- Permanent magnet rotor.
- Stator controlled by a microcontroller via electronic switching.
- Universal power supply: 230V 50/60Hz or 120V 50/60Hz.
- Precise control via 0–10V signal, PWM, or specific software (constant flow, constant pressure, etc.).
This technology offers high motor torque, speed control, and increased longevity thanks to the absence of brushes.
French innovation and ErP compliance
EC ECOFIT motors are entirely designed and manufactured in our factory in Vendôme (France).
Our expertise and measuring equipment enable us to guarantee that our fans comply with the European ErP Directive (2009/125/EG) – Energy related Products.
This directive sets energy efficiency requirements for energy-consuming products.

There are three categories based on the maximum power required:
- F5 motors up to 85 W
- G9 motors up to 170 W
- V8 motors up to 300 W
EC ECOFIT fans
EC motors are integrated into the following ranges:
- Backward fans: diameters from 133 to 315 mm.
- Single inlet foward fans: diameters from 120 to 180 mm, with constant flow or constant pressure options without sensor.
- Double inlet forward fans: diameters from 120 to 180 mm, same smart control options.
- Axial fans: diameters from 200 to 400 mm.
