Cabins are like a second home for drivers and passengers during long journeys. Indoor air quality and power supply are essential for their comfort.
In trucks, ECOFIT fans are used to cool the power generator and to ventilate and air-condition the driver's cab.
On boats, they are used in the ventilation and air conditioning systems of passenger cabins.
These different configurations do not have the same constraints, and different ranges of ECOFIT fans can be used depending on the situation.
Three ranges of ECOFIT fans are used for onboard systems:
- Single inlet forward centrifugal fans: these fans can withstand high pressure, which is very useful in HVAC systems on boats.
- Double inlet forward centrifugal fans: these fans offer even higher flow rates thanks to their air intake on both sides of the turbine.
- Backward centrifugal fans: these fans provide high flow rates at high pressure. They are used in particular for cooling power generators and for ventilation and air conditioning in truck cabins, as well as in HVAC systems on boats.
EC technology also optimizes energy consumption by controlling the motor speed according to real-time ventilation requirements. Forward fans are available with a constant flow or constant pressure function without the addition of a sensor. Backward fans can operate at constant flow or constant pressure with the addition of a pressure sensor.
