Manufacturing ECOFIT fans
Steps in manufacturing a fan
The manufacturing of our ECOFIT axial and centrifugal fans combines engineering, precision, and technical konw-how. Each step, from design to final assembly, plays an essential role in ensuring quality, performance, safety, and durability.
Design and planning
It all starts with studying user and market needs. Our engineers draw up detailed plans using CAD software and select the appropriate materials for the turbines and impellers, motors, housings, etc. They define the technical specifications, such as the power and type of fan (AC, DC, or EC) and the electronic program to be integrated. At this stage, creativity, rigor, and compliance with safety standards are paramount.
Component manufacturing
The main components of our ECOFIT fans include:
- Turbines, impellers, and housings, which are either injection molded in plastic or machined from metal
- The electric motor, consisting of the rotor, stator, and windings, which are automatically wound on winding machines. After the winding stage, the pre-wiring, impregnation, and post-wiring stages follow
- The development of specific software and customized solutions to adapt fan performance to customer needs in multiple applications.
Automation is used in particular for plastic injection, shaft fitting on rotors, cutting, and winding. On the other hand, certain stages still require human expertise to ensure perfect assembly, such as pre- and post-wiring, for example.
Electronic assembly and integration
The supports and bearings are then assembled onto the motor block. The impellers (for centrifugal fans) or propellers (for axial fans) are attached to the rotors. For EC fans, the electronic module is integrated at this stage, allowing speed regulation and ensuring electrical safety. Manual operations remain crucial for final assembly, particularly in housings, to ensure perfect alignment and quiet operation.
Quality control and testing on 100% of products
Each fan undergoes rigorous testing:
- Verification of blade and motor balance
- Testing of different speeds and electrical protections
- Checking noise, vibration, and aesthetics
Packaging and distribution
Once the fan has been tested and approved, it is carefully packaged by our employees. This step requires precision and organization to prevent any damage during transport.
Conclusion
The manufacture of our ECOFIT fans is a complex process that combines technology, automation, and human expertise. From the choice of materials to final assembly, every detail counts in producing a high-quality, safe, quiet, and efficient fan.
