ECOFIT offers fans to distribute heated air over the heat exchanger and to extract combustion fumes. Among renewable energies, wood and wood pellets are increasingly used for home heating.
ECOFIT fans are used in the following applications:
- Distributing air heated by wood stoves to accelerate heat diffusion, homogenize room temperature, and distribute air to several rooms through a network of ducts.
- Fan coil units that distribute hot air through a network of ducts.
- Removing combustion fumes from a fireplace or wood stove.
These applications require fans that provide effective airflow despite the high pressures associated with this type of installation.
Centrifugal fans are best suited for high-pressure operation.
Several ranges of ECOFIT centrifugal fans are suitable for these applications:
- Tangential fans (with S- or L-shaped airflow) are designed to generate a wide, continuous airflow while maintaining moderate pressure. Their long turbine with closely spaced blades draws in air along its entire length and then expels it for even, directional air distribution.
- Double inlet centrifugal fans are particularly suitable for fan coil units as they provide a high flow rate despite the high pressure losses imposed by duct networks.
- GRA type centrifugal fans for hot air are particularly suitable for extracting combustion fumes. Single-inlet centrifugal technology combined with a hot air design (motor isolated from the turbine) allows air to be treated at temperatures up to 150°C.
