New marking requirements in Great Britain
The CE marking required by the European Union guarantees the safety criteria for all products circulating on our market.
Following the Brexit, the CE marking is no longer sufficient for the distribution of products in Great Britain
It is replaced by the UKCA (UK Conformity Assessed) mark. This can be used now, but will come into effect on January 1, 2023.
The requirements for the UKCA marking are for the moment practically the same as those for the CE marking. The work to be done by companies is therefore not about modifying their products. Rather, they need to compile all the necessary files in order to have their products validated by a recognized body in Great Britain or to update their self-declaration of conformity for the UKCA marking according to the same criteria as for the CE marking.
ROSENBERG Vendôme is actively working to have all its products UKCA marked, and we will be ready for the entry into force on January 1st 2023.
